The First Life

In the beginning, there was only one life and one life path shared by all living spirits.

These spirits lived in a simple, untroubled existence. Nothing in their state stirred questions, disagreements, or desires for change. It was not that they could not think or evaluate. Rather, their satisfaction was so complete that no alternative way of being ever arose in their awareness. It was the purest state of life, where each spirit rested in full consciousness and effortless contentment.

In that realm, every spirit lived in a continuous flow of boundless love. They swam in it, fed on it, and existed within the torrents of immeasurable affection streaming from a Being who was, in essence, the ocean of love itself.

Each spirit knew itself as an extension and expression of this Source. It understood that its life was rooted entirely in love and that this love came from a Source that never grew weary. The Source found fulfillment in loving its offspring, and the offspring found fulfillment in receiving that love. It was a complete harmony, where giving satisfied the Giver and receiving satisfied the Receiver.

In this primordial state, the spirit offspring knew only the Source and itself as part of the Source. It had no perception of any other living spirit. It did not wonder whether others existed or lived differently. This was not ignorance. It was the nature of that realm. There, only the Source and the self existed together as one life, joined in an unbroken flow of love that upheld their oneness.

The individual spirit knew nothing but this love. No trace of trouble existed in its awareness, and no imagination of anything contrary to love could arise. This was perfection, and only in such a state is true perfection found.

In that perfection, the spirit had no obligation to give love to anyone else. There was no one else to give to. There were no neighbors, rivals, siblings, or companions. Only the Spirit Father and its offspring existed, held within an irresistible ocean of unconditional love.

This was my life before the world was formed, before my consciousness took shape, and before my existence assumed any form. I was a formless living spirit within my formless Source.

Yet many others existed in that same perfection. I did not know them or imagine them, but they were there, complete in their own reception of the same love. Their existence did not diminish mine, and mine did not require theirs. Perfection needed no addition.

I now realized that each of those spirits lived as I did, receiving storms of love from their Spirit Father and enjoying perfect satisfaction without the awareness or need of anyone else.

Every spiritual life began this way, as a perfect child of the Spirit Father, who is the sole Parent of all living spirits.

We all knew love and nothing else, though only as something we received within the comfort of our absolute innocence. We had not yet faced the need to acknowledge one another. We had never needed to respond to anything beyond the endless love flowing from our Source.

This is how every life began, yours, mine, and the life of everyone you now think you know. Each one knew itself as a beloved child. If asked, each would reply in like manner: “I am in love. I am in Father’s love. I am complete and satisfied. My Father and I are one”.

A time would come when this would change, but not until we were given expression in the world of forms. Our innocence had predetermined our perfection. Innocence made us pure and holy. The world of forms would reveal new dimensions of ourselves as we learned to move between giving and receiving the same love we once only received.
