One common feedback you get from people who observe your outer life and wish to judge you is:
“Excuse me, you’re having issues with your relationship life, your finances are hopping on one leg, you have talents that are not being maximized, and you think your human life is purfekt???”
“Are you delusional, or do you divine agents have a different way of thinking about your human lives?”
Delusional?
No.
But yes, we do think differently about our human life.
In fact, we also feel and respond to our human experiences differently from most people.
Sometimes this makes people think we’re emotionless, careless, reckless, or even unsympathetic to the suffering of others.
We’re not.
We simply don’t operate from the same perspective.
Our human life is not the centre of our existence.
It is only the present assignment.
That doesn’t mean we don’t cry.
It doesn’t mean we don’t feel pain.
It doesn’t mean we don’t desire love, success, stability, or companionship.
We do.
Sometimes more deeply than other people.
But we have also learned that our human experience is only one chapter of a much longer existence.
For us, being human is just a tip of the iceberg. We have so much more in us that humanity do not see!
That changes how we interpret joy.
It changes how we interpret loss.
It changes how we interpret suffering.
So when you judge our lives using ordinary human measurements, you’ll probably conclude that something is wrong with us.
Perhaps nothing is.
Perhaps we’re simply measuring life with a different scale.
